Sorry For The Delay

First, I want to apologize for the delay of posting important family matters to the blog for the last 90 days. Unfortunately, I am no longer working and didn't own a personal computer. We are now owners of a new, very cool laptop ----- so send your family photo's and stories to me for posting. I will try to stay on top of everything going forward.

IT'S A BABY BOY!!!

Congratulations to Todd, Tyneal, and Braxton. Date of delivery will be on May 6th. We are currently working on his nursery and hopefully we will all be ready for the little guy. By the way, his name will be KANON. His room will be decorated with forest friends...birds, bears, deer, rabbits...etc. A large wooden tree has been cut out and installed on one wall. Decor consist of baby camo and stripe pattern of light blue, tan, olive, cream, brown, and green. We invite all of you to share our blessing on this upcoming special day. Please keep us in your prayers.

Buckner Family Photos

Well, I finally got off it and ordered our family photos from last year. I thought we would share.

WE ARE HAVING A BABY!
Nana and Papa Simon are happy and excited about news of a Buckner Baby on it's way.
CONGRATULATIONS TO TODD, TYNEAL, AND BRAXTON.
So....the Alsup family is still growing and a May arrival is expected. Our new little one will increase our current family tree to number 72. We will keep you posted on little details going forward. We may consider taking a family poll for name suggestions. Rumor is....the future nursery may be 'Camo Decor' (adding pink feathers, ribbons, and lace if needed). Papa, did you have something to do with that idea? Sounds like a cute adventure is in the planning stages.
Let's give thanks to God for his wonderful gift, and pray for a healthy pregnancy and precious baby.

Easter at White River Lake

Granny Chris joined the Simon Family at the Lake to celebrate Easter. Although it snowed, we filled the days with Easter egg painting, game playing, and baking. Granny was introduced to a "TEXAS SIZED" Easter and she seemed to love it. We miss you Granny.

Chelsea House....Going Places

The last few weeks have been exciting for Chelsea. Her 4-H record book won state and she will get to go to national in Atlanta next Nov. Two weeks ago, she showed her new steer at
Harrison, AR and won breed champion. The judge was named Alsup (from Kansas, I think. ) Maybe he is a lost relative?? Then last week she showed again in Bentonville and won
Grand Champion
. Tomorrow she will show in Fayetteville. She has gotten off to a good start.

Also, she competed in state contests for HOSA (health occupation students of America) and her team (3) won and get to go to the national contest in Florida the last of June. Her contest was in dental hygienist skills and knowledge. She only has 2 more weeks of baseball, but has enjoyed her very first season. Gravette schools are not out until June 5 because of snow days.

Love, MiMi (Lavon Stark)

Tyneal Buckner - Promotion

WOW! Our family has a strong prayer tree! I found out this week that I was chosen to accept a new role within the St Joseph Health System as the Sales and Marketing Manager for the Women's and Children's Hospital. For those of you that are not aware, this needed change has been on my prayer list for a long while and I am very positive and excited about the new environment and upcoming growth opportunity. Thank you for all of your support, listening ears, and healing hearts as you helped me to endure and look at the blessings in life. God is Great! Life is Good with loved ones like you!

Jacy Alsup Miss Dogwood Teen Prelim

Dear Family and Friends:
Jacy won the Miss Dogwood Teen prelim this past weekend so we are headed to the State Miss Arkansas Teen Pageant in Hot Springs in June! We want to secure tickets and hotel rooms for all Friends and family members that are interested in going to cheer her on. The dates of the Teen pageant: June 29-30 at Horner Hall at the Hot Springs Convention Center. The recommended Hotel is the Embassy Suites located in the convention center. They have breakfast provided and a snack/happy hour in the evening. New hotel with rooms that have microwaves, refrigerators and front room sleeper sofas. My recommendation is to come on the 29th and checkout morning of 31st. Let me know if you want tickets or hotel rooms. She will also be looking forsponsors for the Arkansas Program book Ads and other various events should you be interested. She is also looking for opportunities to present her sun safety program "Block the Sun, not the Fun" program.
