WE ARE HAVING A BABY!
Nana and Papa Simon are happy and excited about news of a Buckner Baby on it's way.
CONGRATULATIONS TO TODD, TYNEAL, AND BRAXTON.
So....the Alsup family is still growing and a May arrival is expected. Our new little one will increase our current family tree to number 72. We will keep you posted on little details going forward. We may consider taking a family poll for name suggestions. Rumor is....the future nursery may be 'Camo Decor' (adding pink feathers, ribbons, and lace if needed). Papa, did you have something to do with that idea? Sounds like a cute adventure is in the planning stages.
Let's give thanks to God for his wonderful gift, and pray for a healthy pregnancy and precious baby.

Chelsea House....Going Places
The last few weeks have been exciting for Chelsea. Her 4-H record book won state and she will get to go to national in Atlanta next Nov. Two weeks ago, she showed her new steer at
Harrison, AR and won breed champion. The judge was named Alsup (from Kansas, I think. ) Maybe he is a lost relative?? Then last week she showed again in Bentonville and won
Grand Champion. Tomorrow she will show in Fayetteville. She has gotten off to a good start.
Also, she competed in state contests for HOSA (health occupation students of America) and her team (3) won and get to go to the national contest in Florida the last of June. Her contest was in dental hygienist skills and knowledge. She only has 2 more weeks of baseball, but has enjoyed her very first season. Gravette schools are not out until June 5 because of snow days.

Family Reunion Devotional
Gracious and loving God, we gather here today to celebrate our common bond as descendants of the Alsup family. As we do so, we remember all those men and women who have gone before us, leaving us the treasured memories of their lives. We recall how blessed we are to be a part of this journey of life. May our time together be a source of joy and hope for each one here.
We come with our own story of life. We bring with us our joys and sorrows, our trials and our successes. We come here knowing that the bond of history and of blood unites us. If there are differences that divide us, we pray that we will set them aside this day and welcome each one who is with us. We join in celebrating all the blessings which our ancestors have left us.
God of life...we behold those who will carry on our family ancestry...Gift them with a great love of life...and deep faith...May they know the blessings of our ancestors...May they appreciate what has been handed down to them...Thank you for these your treasures...Amen!
Now that we are gathered at this reunion, let us remember how we are one. We have been given the people around us, let us give thanks, then for this great gift. Soon we will share in the food at this table, soon we'll be telling stories of old. As we remember all that's been given, we can be thankful for these gifts.
