Hooray! The Alsup web page is finally up and running. We want to showcase our families by updating members on family events, wellness, accomplishments, changes, brag stories, wishes that need to be fulfilled, and prayer requests. This site is an ongoing work in progress and eventually everyone will have access to make their own additions. However, at this time, all entries (including pictures and stories) can be forwarded to Tyneal, where I will upload them to the site www.alsupalley.blogspot.com.
NOTE: "Chatter Box" entries can be sent via computer to tntbuck@sptc.net or by mail to S. Simon at 5401 89th St, Lubbock Texas 79424. To make this process user friendly for EVERYONE, original photos will be scanned and returned in a timely manner.
Until the site is complete, please stay tuned to updated 2007 reunion information. You are welcome to comment, at any time, to any of the postings. All family members will be able to review your comments, questions, and loving remarks. To do this, please click on the "Comment" option on the bottom right-hand corner of each posting. Here you will have an option to comment at a "Google user," "your own internet account," or as "anonymous."
Posting-"Kassy won 'Grand Champion Pig' at the local stock show."
Example One: Angie can email the pictures of Kassy and her prize-winning hog, to me, along with a story to post on the blog site.
Example Two: Jacy could comment back to Kassy and share her congrats.

As per my phone conversation with LaRhonda on 1/28, she indicated her plans for surgery on 2/14/07 at Houston. Let's all say a special prayer and keep her in you thoughts during this difficult time. Sam
This is a outstanding tool to help keep the Alsup family in touch with each other. Hugs and Kissed to the TT ex who made this page available.
Love
Dennis and Camelia
Hey to all! Heard a rumor that Dennis is collecting fenton glass and getting good at it. Who is your mother? ha Sam
You guys this is an awesome tool! Carson is loving it! A great way to connect family across the miles. Thanks for all your hard work. - Debbie
Debbie, you are very welcome. I have really enjoyed hearing from Carson. He is a hoot! Let us know if you get any more ideas for the site. Thanks again for all that you have sent, I hope I got it all published correctly according to your emails.
It's Easter Time! The Simon Easter Bunny is currently shopping it's heart out! Traditionally we go to the Lake for the Holiday week-end. We always have a scavenger hunt including several clues to locate everyone's Easter Basket. Sometimes the gal's compete against the guys and create clues as difficult as possible. Other times, "BUNNY" hides the clues. Not sure what the game plan is this year. Yes, you're right! Tyneal, Lacy, Milton, and Todd still play the game and hope "THE BUNNY" delivers big baskets of goodies. Braxton is now old enough to play...so he is also anxious for next week-end. Wishing each of you and your families a safe and wonderful Easter Holiday. Enjoy Holy Week and may your Easter Celebration be a Blessing to all. Love. The Milton Simon Family
P.S. If anyone wants to join us for fun and good food, just let us know. As always, our home is open - MORE IS BETTER.
As I called family members to verify hotel reservations and RSVP information...I discovered a few family situations I thought I would share with all of you. First, Brad Lane plans to marry Deanna on June 6, 2007 in Farwell. Next, Uncle Gomer's foot is still bothering him and it is tough for him to get around. Unfortunately, LaRhonda has had a set back from her surgery in February and is not feeling well at all. She also said Joe had surgery on his left knee last week. Dennis still has to rest during the day, due to his permanent foot injury/swelling. Milton broke his right foot a few weeks ago, so I have been hauling him around. You can imagine how difficult it is for him, since he can't drive. Let's say a little pray and remember our family in need and may God Bless Brad and Deanna. Love Sam
I enjoyed seeing every one of you at our family event! I wish more could have attended, but my love goes out to those with health issues and we understand. I had a great time, and I hope you did too. Did you know Granny danced? Sam
We celebrated Lacy's 25th birthday in September. All of the family drove to Post and had a nice dinner at the OLD Garza Hotel, then went to see a local play "The Harvey Girls". The boys went to the ranch afterwards and the girls all stayed overnite at a local cottage in Post. The birthday theme was "All About Chocolate", so you know we enjoyed the dessert and array of hot chocolate selections. I can't believe Lacy is 25 years old. Tyneal still wants to send her back! HA HA She is liking her new teaching job, but she is adjusting to grading papers and going back to school to earn her Masters. Good Luck Lacy-I Love You! Sam
Don't forget to send us your family updates so we can post them to the website. All participation is appreciated.
By the way-Dennis and Camelia will be in Lubbock this week-end for the Texas Tech/A&M game. Have a safe trip.
Also, Kassy Martin won the 2007 Tulia Homecoming Queen. I will post to web, when I receive a photo. Unfortunately, I was in Dallas at a sales meeting and couldn't attend. Congratulations Kassy. Love Aunt Sam
Dennis had his heart pacemaker replaced a couple of weeks ago. I forgot to let everyone know about it. Sorry Dennis. We hope you are feeling better with the new and improved version.

As many of you know, I have worked for GMAC for over 26 years. We are going thru a large layoff/corporate resturture beginning May 08. They layoff is quite large and will include many employees. (16 business centers to 4 business centers across the U.S.) The credit crunch and RESCAP loss is a serious matter. I will be included in the layoff, so effective 6/1/08....I will be able to concentrate 100% of my energy on my husband, children, and grandsons. There are many close friends that will lose their jobs, so let's keep this close knit group in our prayers.
I am so grateful that I have a wonderful family to support me during this difficult time. I know it is all in God's final plan for our lives. (just think, I will have a new grandson in a couple of weeks)
Take care and love your family,
Sam 4/14/08
